From the highlands of Rwanda’s Western Province, this microlot from the Abadatezuka Cooperative is crafted from start to finish with great care. This coffee grows near the Nyungwe Forest in volcanic soil, and is naturally pollinated by native honeybees before it is washed at the Cyato station. While most Rwandan coffees are roasted light to preserve their brightness, this lot was taken darker to deepen its cocoa sweetness and highlight its syrupy body without losing its delicate wine-like nuance. The result is a unique dark roast that honors both the precision of Rwandan coffee and the beauty of its origin.
